I just finished reading Whitewater Honeymoon. It really captures the free spirit and beauty of Sedona, which I was visiting. The descriptions of the red rocks, the Grand Canyon, and the Colorado River, which was almost another character in the story, were amazing - I felt like I was in the middle of everything that happened. But the story of two lost honeymooners hooked me right from the start. I liked how Johnson intertwined their adventure with another tour of northern Arizona and then smashed them together in a surprise ending. I read the last hundred pages in one sitting, I couldn't put it down and can't wait to go back and read the first book in the series, Tale of the Broken Spoke. If you like Hillerman and Nevada Barr, you'll love this book.

This was a fun read interspersed with tons of local Sedona history. Each character is unique and built out and I loved how each had their own quirky nickname. This book balanced adventure and humor in what culminates to be a perfect vacation read with an ending that I didn't see coming.

Memories and Entertainment
I had the great pleasure of having Paul Johnson as a tour guide for a trip beginning in Sedona. This book brought back wonderful memories of the beautiful rock formations and fauna. I truly enjoyed this book; its characters (especially Zulu and Kuul) and its storyline. I did not want to put it down. The names of characters were weird but only added to the book’s underlying humor. Great job, Paul. I’m looking forward to the next adventures.

Paul, not only are you an entertaining tour guide, you're a well seasoned author, and you've only published one book. Introduced a couple of your quirky characters to my book group. We had a good laugh reading Dr. Landish' speech at the Sands, targeting bored pickleball players - among others. Looking forward to your release of Whitewate

Great Short Story Mystery!
Easy to read and descriptive novel with many colorful characters. After visiting the southwest Sedona area it was a well written mystery that took place in that area. I especially liked how he developed his story around the native Indian culture and the supernatural and somehow put them together.
